Industrial Engineers

Globeleq SA Management Services (Pty) Ltd. – Cape Town, Western Cape
Operating in South Africa since 2012 with their head office based in Cape Town, Globeleq develops, constructs and manages energy projects as part of the South African government’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (REIPPP).
Globeleq South Africa Management Services (GSAMS) is looking for qualified industrial engineers to join the operations teams in De Aar, Droogfontein, Jeffreys Bay and Cape Town. The Industrial Engineers will assist in the review, grading and collation of technical documentation and drawings related to utility scale renewable energy power plants. Design and development of a document storage, filing system (information architecture) on SharePoint. Assist with the design and implementation of the maintenance management plan development process and maintenance planning and scheduling process within the Computerised Maintenance Management system (CMMS). Development of business processes that will support organisational strategic objectives.
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Review of technical documentation related to solar PV and wind farm
Assist with developing processes to review, update, identify and store technical documents
Assist with managing projects
Assist with embedding business processes within the organisation specifically related to management of change, maintenance plan development, maintenance planning and scheduling, work order management
Assist in supporting/implementing the CMMS/ERP system
Reporting Tool Development
Implementation of reporting tools
Assist with developing and operationalising power plant procedures
Be responsible for following all cooperative safety policies and procedures
Perform other work-related activities as requested by Operations Director
The role will require occasional travel to other Globeleq SAMS plants
Assist in defining and documenting scope of work
Writing of various technical reports
Assist with the writing of procedures and the update of procedures when required.
Assist with the downloading of plant settings and parameters and investigating SCADA configurations
Assist with the review and update of O&M manuals and O&M procedures.
Develop detailed MS Project plans
Implementing systems into SharePoint

The minimum requirements for this role is the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial)
Prior work experience not required but will be advantageous
Any programming knowledge
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Working knowledge of network data communications, client/server functions and hardware/software architectures is required
Knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint development
Experience with developing and implementing business processes will be beneficial – especially those related to management of change and maintenance management
Working knowledge or expertise with implementing CMMS/ERP systems to support business processes
PV or wind energy experience is an advantage
Code 8 driver’s license or similar is required Market related salary
